UNDERWATER

UNDERWATER makes dark, heavily worked streetwear. Its pieces on GRIME STATE include bloodstain-effect raw denim jackets and flared pants, shredded baggy jeans, armor-paneled and patchwork hoodies, MA-1 jackets rebuilt with bondage straps, the Scavenger and Wanderer utility pieces, and a horned down vest with a detachable hood. Recurring techniques are vintage and dirty washes, raw frayed edges, mesh inserts and hand-stitched patchwork, with demon, skeleton and racing graphics. The palette is mostly washed black, with red, grey and indigo, and prices range from $19 for boxer briefs to $356 for a padded bomber. It fits best in darkwear and post-apocalyptic clothing.
